Volunteers

The Lutheran Thrift Shop needs volunteers to work in the store. Ellie Barber, the store manager, welcomes applications from prospective volunteers. Typically, volunteers work from four to eight hours a week and choose their own shifts, for example, from 9:00-1:00 or 12:00-4:00.

Thrift Store Volunteers

Volunteer staff range in age from 12 to 85 years old! Our current volunteers include people from many Tucson area congregations representing the following Christian denominations: Lutheran, Baptist, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, and many others. However, we are open to welcoming volunteers who are eager to serve in this ministry.

For more information on becoming a volunteer, contact the store manager, Ellie Barber, at (520) 320-7892

Come see our brand new, and much larger store!

On June 5th, we moved to 5665 E. Speedway. Still in the same shopping center, just a few doors to the East, housed between the Danswest and Grocery Outlet Stores. Look for our new lighted green sign!

With the larger space, comes the need for more volunteers. We always need people to help process incoming donations like clothing, appliances, and electronics.

We also need additional cashiers willing to help our dedicated customers. We will provide all the training you need.
